ABA webinar about improving service and profitability with knowledge strategy
This Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 1:00 pm, Eastern, I will be moderating an ABA CLE webinar addressing ways to improve client service and profitability through knowledge strategy. The 90-minute program will discuss how to
- Do more with less by working smarter, not harder
- Address fee pressures while still making money, by becoming more efficient
- Distinguish client service levels from those of competitors, by more effectively drawing on prior experience
Large firm focus
The program is tilted towards the large firm experience, whether you are a member of firm management, a practice group leader or an individual lawyer faced with the everyday demands of client work. The first portion will address the business case for knowledge strategy, explain the difference between knowledge strategy and knowledge management and illustrate the types of changes a firm can undertake to become more competitive. The second portion of the program will present 10 practical suggestions for becoming more efficient through knowledge strategy.
My fellow panelists will be Delilah Flaum, Partner at Winston & Strawn LLP, who oversees the firm's knowledge management and legal project management efforts, and Jean O'Grady, Director of Research and Knowledge Services at DLA Piper.
